✅ Callaway's Longest Ball For Slow Swings

Callaway claims that the Supersoft Max is their “longest golf ball for slow swings.” Feedback from other golfers with slower swing speeds (less than 85 mph with driver), seem to praise the Callaway Supersoft Max, by emphasising the additional distance that they’re receiving by using this golf ball.

✅ Great Soft Feel

The soft nature of the golf ball is something I noticed from my testing of the Callaway Supersoft Max. Interestingly, Callaway doesn’t seem to heavily emphasize this aspect, and other golfers who use the ball haven’t overly praised its soft feel much either.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I used the Supersoft Max on the golf course because I found its softness comparable to other “soft” golf balls like the Srixon Soft Feel or TaylorMade Soft Select.

✅ Forgiving, High Launching Ball Flight

Typically, senior golfers or those with slower club head speeds prefer golf balls that launch higher and offer forgiveness. Based on feedback from other golfers and my own experience with the Callaway Supersoft Max on the course, I can confirm that this golf ball indeed launches high.

I would say that the ‘forgiving’ factor that Callaway claim this golf ball to have basically just results in players’ bad shots being ever so slightly more on target.

❌ Expensive on Amazon

The Supersoft Max delivers on its intended purpose, catering specifically to players with slower club head speeds seeking a higher and more forgiving launch. However, at around £30 per dozen on Amazon, I find it somewhat expensive.

There are other golf balls available at a similar, or possibly lower price point that offer comparable performance, such as the Callaway Supersoft, Srixon Soft Feel, or Srixon UltiSoft.

Given that the Supersoft Max lacks quality greenside spin and is best suited for slower club head speeds, I believe the price of £30 per dozen, which is what Amazon are currently selling for, is just too high.

Nevertheless, american golf are currently offering the Supersoft Max at a much lower price point of £22.99, which is much more appealing and reasonable.

Callaway Supersoft Max Summary

To wrap up this Callaway Supersoft Max review, let’s consider the kind of golfer who might benefit from this golf ball and those who might not find it as suitable.

This golf ball is designed for golfers with generally slower club head speeds, who are in search of a high launching, forgiving ball flight, both with driver and their irons.

There are alternative golf balls available which offer similar characteristics to the Callaway Supersoft Max but may come at a slightly cheaper price point. Some options include the Srixon UltiSoft, Titleist TruFeel or Srixon Q Star Tour.

  2. Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any suggestions for novice blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
