This Titleist AVX review will cover the brand new Titleist AVX 2024 model. The new design claims to bring several added benefits, which is to be expected. What may come as a surprise, is that the latest Titleist AVX 2024 model comes at a lower price compared to its predecessor.
Currently, the Titleist AVX 2022 model is listed at £39.96 on Amazon, whereas the Titleist AVX 2024 model is priced at £36.74.
This Titleist AVX review will explore the disparities between the old and the new 2024 model, whilst also shedding light on the supposedly new features of this desigin.
What's New with the Titleist AVX 2024 Model?
Every time a new version of a golf ball hits the market, it’s typical for the brand (like Titleist in this case) to tout a slew of new claims about what the ball can do. Often, these changes are minor. Let’s take a look at the claims Titleist is making for their new Titleist AVX 2024 model.
Enhanced Greenside Spin Control
Softer Feel
Increased Distance
Reduced Spin on Longer Iron Shots
Now, consider that this new Titleist AVX model is priced approximately £3 lower per dozen compared to the older version. How can it boast all these new features while being more affordable?
When the original Titleist AVX was introduced in 2018, it aimed to compete with Titleist’s premium offerings like the Pro V1 and Pro V1X. However, few tour players seemed to opt for this new golf ball, as it seemed that the Titleist players were happy enough with the Pro V1 or Pro V1X that they were currently using.
It appears that Titleist has opted for a bit of repositioning by offering the AVX at a lower price point than the Pro V1 models with this latest release. Nevertheless, with this price drop, the AVX might just offer the best bang for your buck in today’s market.
Titleist AVX Review 2024
Pros ✅
Cons ❌
Premium Soft Feel
Prefer the Old Look
Low Spin and Low Flight with Driver and Long Irons
The excellent soft feeling offered by Titleist premium golf balls proved to be consistent with the new Titleist AVX model. Among all the claims Titleist has made about the differences between this new AVX and its predecessor, I would say that the soft feel is the only real noticeable difference when using the golf ball on the golf course.
The Titleist AVX is one of the softest golf balls I have tested. It feels light and easy to strike, which is attractive to the vast majority of golfers.
✅ Low Spin and Low Flight with Driver and Long Irons
The Titleist AVX model caters to golfers seeking a lower ball flight with reduced spin off the tee and on longer iron shots. This aspect sets it apart from the Pro V1, Pro V1X, as well as other premium golf balls like the Callaway Chrome Tour / Chrome Tour X or TaylorMade TP5 / TP5X.
The AVX’s slightly lower trajectory off the tee can be very advantageous, particularly for golfers prone to seeing their tee shots balloon.
✅ Cheaper than the Previous Model
Before testing this new Titleist AVX model, the first thing that caught my eye was the price. With the new Titleist AVX model being £3 cheaper than the previous AVX model, this came as a surprise.
After testing the new AVX version, I would honestly say that considering the new price, there really isn’t many golf balls that you could get for this kind of money.
❌ Prefer the Old Look
The only downside for me with this new Titleist AVX 2024 model is that I think Titleist could’ve kept the same look from the previous model. As you can see from the image below, the ‘AVX’ writing on the golf ball has subtly changed so that there is a black line above and below the golf ball.
This is obviously just a personal preference and you might actually prefer the look of the ball, but it’s something that I personally didn’t like.
To wrap up this Titleist AVX review, let’s consider the kind of golfer who might benefit from this golf ball and those who might not find it as suitable.
This golf ball is designed for golfers who are looking for a slightly lower ball flight off the tee and with longer irons, whilst still maximising distance with an extremely soft, delicate feel.
However, for golfers looking for a golf ball which flies a bit higher off the tee and which isn’t so soft, there are alternatives like the Callaway Chrome Tour or Titleist Pro V1X that might be worth trying.

I’m really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog readers have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?
